I started "voiceover" work when I was a child... except I was not in a studio and not being paid for it. I listened to "unique" voices, whether they came from my favorite cartoons or legendary actors, and I tried to replicate them. My parents loved to have me "perform" for guests and I loved to ham it up for many years. When I graduated from high school I told my parents I wanted to study voiceover work. They shut that idea down quickly so I put it on the back burner... for 30 years! I finally saw an opportunity to utilize my bilingual skills and I began studying with Academia de la Voz under the amazing Marabina Jaimes and founder Tito Alvarez. Being fluent in both English and Spanish opens up a whole world of possibility for me.
Aside from a normal speaking voice with correct pronunciation and inflection, I can also work in voices that are fun, cartoonish, rough, elderly, young, deeper, high-pitched, and so on.
