I have done many radio commercials, television voice-overs, television on-carmera, industrial film narrations including Graeser Winery in Calistoga, California, and industrial training films like Coit Carpet Cleaners. My success story of which I am most proud was ten years of doing radio commercials for European Sleep Works in Berkeley, California, and during this ten years their sales curve steadily increased and they expanded their sales staff several times.
I have a bachelor's degree in journalism from California State University and was a rated journalist in my service with the U.S. Navy. While stationed in Cuba, I was an editor for the base newspaper and did some work as an announcer for Radio Station WGBY. After nine years as a reporter, editor, and photographer for newspapers, I became an account executive for a public relations agency where I wrote and directed television and radio commercials in addition to print advertising. As a public relations director for a retirement home corporation, I again wrote, directed, and did voice work for radio and television commercials. My voice-over training includes three different San Francisco Bay Area studios. As an actor, I had extensive class work with U.C. Berkeley extension and a variety of other workshops. From my film work, I am in the "must join" category for Screen Actors Guild, and from my stage work I was eligible for membership in Actors Equity.
My work is done in cooperation with David Litwin Productions in Saulsalito, California, and you may check him out at his website, davidlitwinproductions.com, which is linked with my website.
In addition to my voice experience, my "amateur" theatre career included lighting design and operation, set design, directing, and stage managing in addition to more than a dozen acting roles.
As an actor, my two favorite roles were Skelly Manor in Rimers of Eldritch, and Mr. Nickles in J.B. It was the Mr. Nickles role that led me to my pursuit of a professional acting career and also led to my moving into voice work.
