I have done voice over work for a TV station's Hurricane Special in Honolulu. As an employee for the National Weather Service - Sacramento, CA Forecast Office, I have often done voice over work for educational, safety, and weather briefing videos for the office. Otherwise, most of my work has been in tv & radio interviews answering questions or educating the public about weather impacts & safety.
I started public speaking in 6th grade when I joined the speech team during Junior High. I continued my competitive speech career through high school and into college. Beyond that, I have been a weekend weather anchor, a lecturer & presenter, as well as a speech coach for a high school speech team. I work for the Federal Gov't as a meteorologist and am the Media Liaison for my office which means I often give sound bites to local tv and radio stations across Northern California as well as for national media outlets. I also have experience in drama having been in several school plays throughout junior high and high school while also performing and coaching both dramatic & humorous interpretative speeches. I have been training with Nakamoto Productions in Sacramento, CA to enhance my VO skills.
I have a home studio with a Blue Yeti microphone, Samsung headphones, & Audacity on my iMac.
I have created videos for a gov't agency doing my own editing and voice-over work while also creating the graphics or movie clips used in the videos. I am very good at coaching others in their speaking style to bring out their best voice and create presence in a room.
