I have worked as a volunteer reader with Talking Tapes/Textbooks on Tape, a United Way agency which records textbooks and other materials for schoolchildren.
I have also performed in numerous amateur bands, church choirs and dramatic productions, and led singing in my church, on and off, for roughly 30 years.
I am, however, a raw newcomer to commercial voiceover work.
My academic training is largely technical, in electronics and computer technologies. Accordingly, I have concentrated mostly on live sound reinforcement, recording, and post-production, mostly amateur.
Vocally, I have had one college class in vocal music supplemented by 30 years of practice, often under very good directors...
I have done a good deal of (amateur) live recording and post-production work of my own and others' performances, and have produced my own demo recordings.
I have a critical ear and know my way around audio recording and mixing equipment, analog and digital. I own my own modest voice over recording equipment and can produce very quick custom demos.
