I have 10 years experience as an on-air announcer in both television and radio. I also have acting experience on stage and on video. I can range from serious news read style to casual conversational to high-energy "K-Tel" style commercial read. I have earned the nickname 'one-take wonder' for my ability to get jobs done quickly and with no mistakes or retakes necessary.
I trained with one of the best radio voices in southern Ontario - Stu Black. He was my radio instructor when I was studying Radio and TV in college. He is a 30+ year veteran of radio in Southern Ontario and taught me quite a bit about inflection, tone and clearness. The best training was on the job. A total of 10 years broadcasting experience has taught me much about how to use the 'tool' of my trade - my voice.
Shure PG42-USB microphone with pop filter
Audacity
One final skill I'd like to add is my ability to speak in front of large groups. I have MC'd many functions at my church and was a former tourguide at my employer taking over 1200 people in total through our new facility.
