About Bret

  • Member sinceOct 21, 2007
My voice is a contortionist. I can be a cultured englishman, a redneck, Spongebob Squarepants, Boris Karloff and Peter Lorre, an elf, a giant, a frenchman, russian, or hot rod race announcer. My voice is very intimate and thoughtful sounding, so it is useful for dry or complex material. I like to do multiple characters for the challenge of varieties of personalities. I also can go beyond earth to other planets, with alien voices, etc.

You thought you knew what you wanted in voice talent...but I know better. I will take your material beyond what you've heard and make it feel natural and fun. I have been a radio voice for 5-6 years (wkdi, wsiu), a reader for the blind and a performing storyteller for at least that long. I am an actor, stand-up comedian, and MC. My training is in forensics and acting, with on the job training in radio news, dj work and Master of Ceremonies work. I have a degree in english and a masters in theater and dance My ability to speak french is at the Sesame Street level, but the accent is good. I am well read and have a good sense of humor. I like to shake things up a little to keep my listeners thinking.
