My profession is an "on air" TV News Journalist. I have over 4 years of experience.
I started at WDTV in Clarksburg West Virginia.
I worked 3 years for WICU in Erie, PA.
Currently I report for WFMZ in Allentown, PA.
Each day I do voice overs for a variety of TV news stories. These can range from hard news which entail a slow deep assertive tone. Other times a story has some emotional elements which require a softer more heart felt delivery.
Recording voice overs on a daily basis has taught me how to contol my voice which is a big assest when trying to reach a viewer.
Aside from daily training with doing news I also took classes at the Ohio Center for broadcasting. This helped me learn how to narriate for radio commercials as well as TV.
Working in TV I have had to audition each time for a job interview. A News Director wants to hear how I read news and the tone and tenor of my voice.
