Greetings! Thank you for taking the time to check out my profile! Before I give you the long story of how I got to this point in my voice over career, I will give you the specs of my at-home setup and alternative methods of collaboration. - Self-constructed at-home isolation booth. - Samson G Track Pro USB Condenser Microphone - Audacity - Can use Zoom to collaborate from home. Otherwise, I have connections with Radio Garage Productions! in Urbandale, IA and can work with them to set up recording time in their studio until my booth becomes fully professional-grade. - Website coming soon. My name is Benjamin Mayer (he/him) and I am a voice actor based out of Des Moines, IA and I would love to collaborate with you on your project! I have been an avid lover of cartoons, video games and anime since my first memories of on-TV entertainment. That love has fueled me to take my acting skills and to put them to use in a different medium aside from the stage and camera. Growing up, I participated in many on-stage performances throughout my early schooling and during my time at Iowa State University. In fact, it was a show I starred in that allowed me the opportunity to have my first experiences in a booth behind a microphone. After a performance of "It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play"- in which I played a 5 characters- I was approached by a videographer from a production company affiliated with Iowa State, called Model Farms, to see if I was interested in recording some voice over for some commercials they were producing. I gladly agreed, and have since been working hard to get more hours behind the mic and to improve my skills as a voice actor. Now that I have this fascination with the work that goes into my favorite forms of entertainment, I have taken great strides to ensure that I can provide quality work to anyone who would like to work with me. Since beginning my journey into this industry in 2021, I have taken lessons from working actors in an attempt to grow in my craft while also exploring the level of my abilities as they stood. In doing so, my most recent instructor (Mr. John Keating with Innovative Artists New York) discussed that I was ready for my first character and commercial demo to kick-start my career. I am currently a commercial actor for The Peak Agency out of Des Moines, IA and I have found on-camera commercial work with them since 2018. I will soon be starring in a feature-length fantasy, romantic comedy called "Faun" later this year because of my connection with this agency as well.
