About Bill
Member sinceJul 8, 2003
Most likely, you've already heard Bill on radio and TV ads and programs. His warm storyteller's voice will have you remembering names like Danny Dark and Mason Adams... a bit of Rod Serling may come to mind when you hear Bill narrate "Most Haunted In America" or "The Phenomenon Files". Bill is the happy, inviting voice you hear in theme parks around the world with the words "Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls..." and if you're being trained for automotive work in Ford, Honda, General Motors, Hyundai/Kia, or Suzuki dealerships, Bill's "here's the straight line" voice is there to show you "the ropes." Bill talks to doctors, dentists, veterinarians, and other medical pros like he's one of the team... with knowledge and style for sales and training plus new advancements in medicine. And if your travel includes airlines, you'll hear Bill's enticing voice talking about destinations and lifestyles in flight. What kind of male voice do you need?

Bill maintains a large "vocabulary". Within just a few minutes, he can create more than a dialect... there's a character to go with it. He has lived in many places in the U.S. and knows the difference between "West Texas" and San Antonio accents. He can give new or old Chicago... or Brainerd, Minnesota. The Bronx, Brooklyn, or Yonkers... and let's not forget Pittsburgh! He was born in South Dakota... so, Lakota Sioux or Blackfoot?
Experience, training, and equipment
A radio commercial producer for over forty years, Bill created Bill Rogers Productions in 1980. "BRP" currently serves stations from one end of the country to the other, making demo ads for their sales depts. Bill is the voice of over fifty retail accounts in Southern California... from performing arts centers to electronics manufacturers. He also voices radio and tv ads for fifteen or more automotive dealers. As a narrator, Bill expertise in medical and scientific terminology keeps him in demand for clients Honeywell, Johnson&Johnson, Textron, Beckman-Coulter, Invensys, Hitachi, and Quest. Bill's announcing skills show up at amusement and theme parks in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan... Anaheim, Santa Monica, San Diego and Hollywood, California... Orlando and Tampa, Florida... and Bonn, Germany.
After studying mass communications at U.S.C. and drama at several schools throughout the country, Bill has taught the art of voice acting for many years.
There is a selection of microphones including condensers by Neumann, AKG, PPA, and Oktava. Sennheiser shotgun, Shure and Electro-voice dynamics. Mackie Onyx 1640 firewire. Lexicon USB Omegas. All digital direct. Telos Zephyr. AudioTX. Yorkville monitors. We use Adobe Audition exclusively.
Bill is an avid snow and water skier. He has created presentations and narrrated many videos for the sport industry.
