I have lived in media, advertising, and marketing all of my working life. Fascinated by radio at an early age, I got my first radio gig while still in high school at a small town station in Ontario, Canada. Rising quickly to Afternoon Host and Music Director, I soon moved to the prairies for more adventures. After a few more years on air, I was drawn to the world of advertising and marketing where he has been ever since.
I was soon was sought out because of my ability to relate to clients and company needs, and help “put things on the hoist”, keep the good, discard the bad, see and take advantage of opportunity, and develop great radio campaigns.
During the past 4 decades, I have helped hundreds of clients develop better advertising and make better connections with their customers. I have presented keynote presentations on how to build great ads and ad campaigns, and have voiced so many radio and TV commercials, corporate narrations, and phone messages, I've lost count!
A few years ago I made a change and moved into the non-profit sector, where I currently work as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the Regina Humane Society. I continue to do voice work for clients across North America and Europe from my home studio. I have done voice work for the likes of the U.S. Army, Sask Tel, Broadway Bank (Texas), Goodwill of Central Texas, 87 Agency (Paris, France), PHD, Farm Credit Canada, Locke Bryan Productions, Enroll.us, Deerhurst Resort (Ontario) and many more.
In addition to working with clients and media, I have served on many corporate boards, ranging from a child care facility to a flight school, and one of Canada’s top 10 Credit Unions with close to $1 billion in assets under management – so I understand how to look after key stakeholders.
I am also a private pilot and serve as a search and rescue pilot with the Canadian Civil Air Search and Rescue Association and am one of the few people anywhere who loves getting stuck at an airport, just to watch the planes for a while!
