I can do any accent just by listening to it, briefly. I have a great ear for pitch and emphasis.

Recently I was asked to anchor the morning announcements at the school I work for. Technically it is the only "voice-over" work that I have done, despite the fact that it was live TV. I hosted a closed circuit radio program playing contemporary jazz under live spoken word poetry. I write and recite poetry, directed some stage work and encourage young writers and poets to know their work in the same way. None I have worked in the field of education for nearly 30 years. Sometimes my students tell me I can be very scary, (which can be a good thing when you're dealing with teenagers), and parents have been known to call me the voice of reason.
