Ben wrote, performed, recorded, edited and mixed all of the music and some of the V.O. for the L.A. County Dept. of Public Works' wildly popular Environmental Defenders program. He's also done V.O. for the Burbank Unified School District's ShowCamp performing arts program as well as performed for 8 years as the lead singer, trumpeter, trombonist, rhythm guitarist and auxiliary percussionist for the grammy-winning and world touring rock band, Zappa Plays Zappa. Many of the concerts featured him speak-singing in the style of Frank Zappa, who was unofficially the rock world's first rapper of sprechstimme.

Ben is proficient at recording, editing and mixing on many different DAW's including Ableton Live, Logic, Digital Performer, Garage Band and others. He has a nice variety of microphones as well to achieve different vocal sound qualities and has quality MOTU audio hardware for proper mic preamplification.
Ben is knowledgeable in many areas of popular culture and recreation - i.e. sports and leisure, cooking, politics, entertainment, history, mass media, literature, sciences - he wins at Trivial Pursuit a lot. This gives him the perfect context to approach the right perspective, style and tone for any character that needs to be performed in a unique but appropriate fashion.
