I started at KORT FM/AM in late 2003. Although I'm a morning jock & program director I have always loved production in music & I immediately fell in love with vocal production. As I practiced my skills voicing & producing local commercials, promos, news, & sports narrations, for KORT, I explored the internet for the vast amount of free voice over training & knowledge to be had. These lessons, combined with my work at KORT & a year of communications & theater at Lewis-Clark State College, helped me improve my voice over skills & quality phenomenally over the last eight years.
Throughout my musical career & time at KORT I have become very proficient in audio production. I have produced hundreds of commercials, promos, & many full length, featured audio productions. Over the course of the past few years I have been putting together a professional grade, in-home studio. As I added programs, hardware, & a library of music beds, sound effects, drops, & several other goodies to my studio, I learned to use them with maximum skill & minimum effort.
Although I am mostly self-taught I did attend general communications & theater classes for a year at LCSC, Idaho & I have had a couple months of training with voice over guru, Brian Lee of Z100, Missoula. On going training includes on-air & production time at KORT, online coaching videos, voice over & acting books, & practice, practice, practice.
