Anya Santos was born and raised in Manila, Philippines and has a degree in Communication Arts from the Ateneo de Manila University. Her voice acting career started on the other side of the studio, as an account manager in an advertising agency. A stingy client opened the door by asking her to do one radio ad pro bono, and that started the ball rolling. Local theater workshops and choral singing may have helped her handle the microphone with ease. Ten years later, she has since done numerous radio and television ads, audio-visual presentations, interactive CD-roms, IVRS and the like for multinational companies such as Nestle, L'Oreal, Procter and Gamble, to name a few, as well as local telecom companies, banks and malls. She was the voice of QTV Channel 11, a subsidiary of the country's leading network, from April 2007 to Feb 2010.
She also has vast experience as a vocalist. Singing with choral groups from elementary to college, she is an experienced performer, singing jazz standards and other jazzified renditions of popular songs.
She is usually cast in roles from teenager to college student or yuppie to young mom. She speaks unaccented and American (West Coast) English, as well as Filipino (her local language) and un poquito Spanish.
I have a degree in Communication Arts and have attended theater and voice (singing) workshops.
I have a ZOOM H2 microphone and have access to a studio using protools.
I can also write a bit, though I've never done so professionally. But I did write my write-up here, which isn't so bad :)
