Live performance in an old-time radio hour style show was my first experience playing with various types of voices. That opened the door to everything I've accomplished in my voice-over career thus far.
My first job was an ADVERTISEMENT for an animation convention. What a way to start.
Highly experienced in the world of LOOPING and VOICE-MATCHING. I've changed a lot of swear words for tv-play over these years. Not just that, I've revoiced entire characters and created new ones for "radio voices" in films.
IVR for a few local businesses phone systems for several years.
ANIMATION has been happening more and more for me. I've had the great fortune to work consistently with cast from 'Futurama' and 'Venture Brothers' (among others). I've also been doing this sort of voice work for podcasts for a while.
Though I've been working here and there, I'm finally able to put my main focus back on my voiceover career. So, really, I'm just getting warmed up.
The world has been my classroom.
Also, David H. Lawrence XVII was a teacher of mine. He's quickly becoming one of the big-time voice-over teachers in LA. A lot of the old-timers are still stuck in the way things used to be done, but as technology has changed, so has the world of voice-over.
My fascination with psychology and human behavior coupled with my 10+ years experience of acting in LA has given me a wonderful understanding of "character".
There really is no better way to learn than experience itself. I've been able to learn from some of the best in the business, so please refer to my experience section for more info.
My recordings are mostly all done from my home.
It takes a skilled actor to make a great voice over artist. Anyone can make funny voices, it's the heart of the character behind it that draws the ear in.
My training in theater, television, films, and voice-over has given me the insight into what is needed (or need to scale-back) for any job.
Professionally, I'm a dedicated, hard-worker and a bit of a perfectionist.
I love all aspects of the voice over world. I'm very excited to work with you on your next project!
