In 1997 one of my roomates quit his job at a local radio station due to health reasons. Knowing my background in theatre, he told his boss he had the perfect replacement. I was told that I would have one shot on a Saturday night reading ads from a classifieds section. I had to make them interesting and entertaining and say some quippy things in between. The character "Little Angel" ( a precocious 3 year old) was born that night as well as other charactors like "Queenie" (the English Maid), "Ma" (the Jewish New Yorker), and "Lily-Bell" the Georgia Peach.
That Saturday night was the birth of "Angel in the Morning, at KJOJ 880 AM, Conroe/Houston" I was immediatly given the coveted morning anchor spot. The station shut down a year and a half later but I went on to help produce the Satellite show "Generation X-tream" on American Satellite Radio until I moved out of state for a while laying my radio career aside to play Mom to my son.
With the explosion of Internet Video capabilities in 2001, my husband and I decided we could do our own ITV show promoting our passion of Bed and Breakfasts. We traveled all over the United States reviewing and interviewing on camera. I became the Internet face of Inn The Know Online Magazine. Doing this for 2 years was the most fun I have ever had - not only because I was able to meet people and travel to great places, but I was able to produce commercials for Amtrak who became one of our sponsors. Even though the ads were only shown on the internet, the feedback I received from Amtrak Corporate was very favorable.
I and my husband are empty nesters now and I would love to start using my voice to make people happy again. I have been told that DJ's are a dime a dozen, but really, how many "Little Angel's" can there be?

I have been called a "Jack of all Trades" because I have held so many different types of jobs. I have been a phone receptionist, a personal greeter, a waitress, a secretary, radio announcer, production assistant (radio), singer, copywriter, mom and counsellor. Because of this I have the ability to make my voice fit the occation. Sometimes I like to answer the phone in different accents - even my family has to take a moment to figure out if it is really me!
