EXPERIENCE:
My experience with live theatre taught me how to bring a character to life, connect with an audience, and tell a story. The various roles I played, both leading and supporting, expanded my horizons and has provided me the opportunity to try on many different characterizations of myself.
My experience with Solo/Sketch/Variety taught me how to captivate an audience with nothing more than my voice and physicality. It has helped me hone my presence and confidence as a performer.
I have worked on numerous commercials, film projects, and public service announcements over the years, so I understand the needs of audio and visual producers and engineers.
TRAINING:
I have trained extensively in commercial voice over with Brian Atwood of Brian S. Atwood Voice-Overs (http://www.briansatwood.com/) where I learned copy basics, how to build a character, and how to make the words uniquely mine. I also studied voiceover technique in New York City with Linda Weaver of Access Talent and Nina Pratt of Grey Advertising.
I have a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Performance with a minor in English which gave me an excellent understanding of the written word, as well as the ability to interpret and express what is written on the page.
My theatrical training also includes studying physical theatre, improvisation, and
solo development in New York City.
