I work at a local public radio station as an on-air host and voice talent. My regular responsibilities include recording of news stories, advertising spots, and station promos. I am also in charge of much of the production work and must edit and mix the vocals with music beds. Some of these music beds are licensed to us, while some must be created from songs in our music library. In addition, I also provide copy writing services.
I have an Associate of Arts in Media Studies from Brookdale Community College, where I studied took audio and radio classes and began working in radio. I started as an intern and a host on Brookdale Student Radio, then became a professional host on WBJB-FM. I am currently working toward an Associate of Applied Science degree in Audio Production.
