I am new to the field of voice over work. I find it interesting and challenging and know that I can do it. My interest in voice over work peaked from opportunities to use my voice as part of voice mail broadcasts in a corporate environment as well as for software demo training in eLearning form. In these latter sessions, my voice was used to give step by step instructions on executing an action using proprietary or custom built softwares.
I am a team player. I have been a member of multiple project opportunities where I acted as project manager or individual contributor. I clearly understand the purpose and timing of each role.
I have the attitude of a helper whose desire is the success of the initiative and not just my own success.
I completed a program with Voice Coaches (www.voicecoaches.com) which educated me about the proper approach to using my voice and the act of professionalism in assignments.
I have my own PCr and a Plantronics headset with microphone included. I have used tools like Camtasia and Adobe Soundbooth to apply audio to eLearning and to do minor audio edits.
By trade, I am a child of the Information Technology industry. I have a Bachelor's degree in Information Science and a Masters in Management. I used my background and experience to form my own company in 2008 (www.kmakonsulting.com). My company offers instructional design/development, training delivery, change management communications and project management services. This experience has developed within me a professional manner, quality, and dedicated that I bring to every project I work on.
I participated in Toastmasters and have achieved the first level of Communicator.
I am currently writing my first fiction book and know demands for public readings will only strengthen the quality of my voice.
