Greetings fellow earthlings, I'm Andie! I'm a lifelong performer with a background in musical theater and a penchant for the fantastical. I started out as a singer/musical theater performer and transitioned to dramatic acting as a child, starring in a variety of stage productions and short films. I have studied everything from improv, to dialect work, to clowning and continue to take ongoing training in a variety of VO and other acting techniques. I am a graduate of the CalArts School of Theater and hold a BFA in Acting.
I like to say my voice over journey began as an animal obsessed kid that loved reading books to the local stray cats in my family's driveway, but my first real brush with VO was during a semester long course taught by Mary Louise Gemmill and Bernard Van de Yacht of Pro ADR Looping at CalArts. With each class, my love for playing with a variety of VO genres from audiobook narration to commercial copy and creating characters for animation and video games grew. Over the last few years, I have narrated several audiobooks for Next Chapter Ltd. Audio as well as other authors on Audible and lent my voice to both animated shorts and features. In 2021, I proudly made my professional animation debut playing a supporting role in an animated feature film for Sony.
My voice has been described by instructors and others as youthful, bright, soothing, and musical. I have successfully portrayed teen and tween characters and am easily able to achieve a Gen Z or young millenial sound. My natural, everyday speaking voice has a mid-toned, clear, resonant quality and is most suitable for articulate, educational/informational, and conversational copy however I am also capable of providing an edgier, textured sound as well.
Additionally, I have a wide range (in vocal music I have experience singing in both an alto and mezzo-soprano/soprano range) and am able to produce soft, warm, or airy tones as well as gritty, biting, and/or deeper tones. I am a huge horror fan and thus have taught myself to produce some spooky shrieks, screams, and creature sounds that would fit in a reboot of Gremlins or an eerie haunted house movie.
I currently record from my home studio in L.A. using a Shure SM7B mic, Scarlett Focusrite 2i2, 4x4 acoustically treated sound booth, and room treatment. I am repped commercially by Jackie Lewis at LB Talent and theatrically (including voice over) by Brian Webb at Starburst Talent Agency.
