I have always loved to sing, even as a young child. I also always aspired to act, mainly in dramatic roles. When my boys were younger, I used to read them books in different accents; some of which I invented. I always sing to comfort myself; or just when I get into a musical mood and I love to do karaoke. I make my kids laugh whenever I imitate Bugs Bunny or some other cartoon character. I can think of a song at the drop of a hat; usually when during a conversation a certain phrase or phrases is used that remind me of lyrics from a particular song. I love driving my friends and family crazy with that! I have some recordings from a professional studio of me singing country songs. I also have recordings on tape of some karaoke I did, and some VHS tapes of my performances from drama and musical theater.I have also recorded myself singing for Youtube. I guess you can say I love listening to the sound of my own voice. ;)
I have taken voice lessons and have done plays, monologues, musical theater performances during high school and my first year of college. I've known people that have done voice overs for videogames and commercials, and always wanted to try it. I have done standup comedy, which I also took classes for. I've recently done some extra/background work for movies and TV, but would love to pursue a speaking role, whether it's for commercials, animation, video games, instructional videos, audiobooks, etc.
I have a Master's degree in Psychology(counseling). I have done customer service over the phone and in person. I have been a cashier in retail for years. I sometimes had to make announcements over the loudspeaker at a few of the places I worked, and enjoyed it immensely. I have a very expansive and healthy sense of humor. I can be honest and forthright, and I can also be sarcastic and somewhat of a wiseass at times(but in a good way) :)
