My main work has been as voice talent for Countrywide Financial Corporation, providing the voice over for training courses and informative presentations. I have been featured in more than 30 courses and 5 company-wide presentations since 2004.
I have also provided character voices for a local independent company in North Texas (Tempest Productions) on short films and documentaries since 1993.
In 2013, I was hired by Essilor USA to provide narration for 9 different Web-based courses.
I took acting classes at Brookhaven College from 1987 - 1989, worked with/directed street theatre groups (Scarborough Renaissance Festival), and several a cappella vocal ensembles (Omni Consort, Omni Carolers, Rapid Transit) since 1989. Also briefly sang with North Texas neo-Celtic group Ravens.
Currently a vocalist with Queen Anne's Lace (www.QALace.com).
In addition, I worked with executives & employees from Primedia Productions and CBS11 for on-the-job voice over training at Countrywide's on-site studios. I did play-by-play announcing and color commentary for the Dallas Derby Devils roller derby league from 2004 - 2006.
I have a BA in English with a specialization in fiction writing from SMU.
I have a strong background in written communications. I also have an extensive background in writing/designing training. This, combined with my musical background, helps me interpret and pace my readings.
In addition, I am strong in improvisational theater, which means I'm not afraid to try new sounds, accents, or voices.
