Ali Mwangola

I'm an indigenous Kenyan and can speak English and Swahili fluently, I also speak Kenyan slang known as "Sheng". I have a classic, baritone, male voice. My voice is strong but versatile, and I can ably perform a range of tones and inflections from chipper young adult to wise old man. Whether you are producing a commercial, a documentary, an internet release, a product demo, a corporate piece for use internally or with clients, or even your company's automated telephone attendant, I have the experience and versatility to bring your script to life. I'm a freelance voice over artist and did my first ever recording back in 2001 and have never looked back since. Progressively over the years, my experience and professionalism has seen me work in popular FM radio stations based in Nairobi. I've also worked for the premier advertising agency in Kenya, SCANGROUP as well as "Supersonic Africa" and "Mojo Productions" voicing for both radio and television platforms. Commercials Some of the corporate companies I have voiced for include: Coca Cola, Nokia, Orange, Kenya Airways, East African Breweries, Visa, Emirates, Standard Chartered Bank, Sony, Old Mutual and Kenya Commercial Bank. After graduating from university I went into doing voice overs by chance having not studied it at all, but with an interest in the performing arts. To date I have attended only two workshops organised by the Voice Actors League of Kenya (VALK) of which I am a member. I currently tutor at a media school part time and have taken the opportunity to mentor young Kenyans keen to do voice over work. I'm an active member of the Voice Actors League of Kenya and I'm in the progress of partnering with another voice talent to hold seminars where we can train the youth in diction, voice control and enunciation.
