My background as a television new anchor and years as an NPR announcer have helped me to develop a smooth, highly professional and classy style that is well suited to all types of presentations, training programs, etc. I have no discernable accent - thanks to years in the Midwest - but can easily put on an authentic and friendly Southern accent (thanks to my Southern roots). As a commercial talent, I can be upbeat and energetic (having sold cars and furniture) or low and suggestive (lingerie and romantic gentaways), as the project dictates. Thanks to my kids, I am also a fabulous story reader and love to do character voices. I have travelled extensively in England, Europe and Russia and can comfortably mimic several different accents for short phrases, such as book characters or in commercials. My years of vocal training as a singer have helped to also give my voice a depth and richness well-suited to audio books.
I hold a Masters Degree in Broadcasting and have worked in television and radio for my entire career.
