I was working in a small gift shop at Disneyworld in Orland, FL when a guest asked me, "do you do character voice overs?" Simply from my positive attitude, the smile in my voice, and energetic tone, he suggested that I be a voice for a Disney cartoon. That was the first time I considered myself a possible candidate for voice overs. I have also had other friends and family suggest that I should look into voice overs as a career.
Also, the Disney Company had hired me for an internship because they saw, what I believe to be, a special "child-like" quality within me. I have been told that I give wonderful first impressions with so much enthusiasm, animation, spirit and life in my voice and attitude.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Sociology. I graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2004.
I currently work in hospitality, where having a degree in "being nice" is pretty normal. I have been told that I give great guest service because I am so smiley and positive.
