I've had a lot of vocal experience in terms of the broadcasting industry as a whole, and I'm always looking for ways to expand upon that experience.
I've had experience as a News Director (which required on-air vocal work), as well as experience performing character voices as an on-air talent.
During my tenure at the Ohio Center for Broadcasting in Denver, I even went as far as to redub an entire cartoon (including all voices for all characters) entirely as a learning experience for myself. That was perhaps one of the most entertaining projects I've ever worked on in terms of voice acting.
What I'm most interested in are entertaining projects such as character voices for animation and long-term projects such as work on audiobooks.
I'm interested in all kinds of projects, large and small, and will generally consider most any vocal projects.
I'm an experienced vocal specialist that thrives when it comes to reading and speech capabilities. I'm a graduate of the Ohio Center for Broadcasting in Denver, and have worked in various capacities in the broadcasting industry. Among these aspects have been as an Instructors' Assistant, a News Director, an audio tech, and a Production Assistant. I've also had experience working at major market radio stations.
I'm currently extremely interested in long-term projects, specifically audiobooks and similar work. As a former News Director and on-air talent, I have extremely accurate reading skills, and I'm capable of editing my own work. I have access to an audio editing studio and an extensive knowledge of programs such as Adobe Premiere.
Admittedly, the studio I have access to is fairly low-key. It has a sound board (Simian audio), an editing computer that uses CoolEdit, a CD burner and Mini-disk recorder, and two fairly high-end microphones with decent filters.
As a former News Director and current Instructors' assistant, I have extremely good reading and writing skills. These were absolute necessities in my job, and it's something that comes to me naturally.
In addition, I'm able to work "on-the-spot" and don't get flustered when performing live, if such a case if required.
I pick things up very quickly, and I'm never afraid to try new things, or even new methods of accomplishing the things I'm used to.
I'm always willing to listen to proper criticism and learn from it, and have a strong respect for those people that have been in the industry longer than I have and know exactly what they're looking for. It's from this knowledge that I'm able to improve upon my own methods.
