I did my first v.o. at the age of about twelve, voice acting in a NPR radio theater series, and I was hooked. I've been a professional actress for over twenty years and have done a considerable amount of TV & radio v.o. work over the years, as well as industrials, museum tours, documentary narrations and books on tape. I'm often told my voice was chosen because it sounded "like a real person, not an announcer." Fast, creative, no nonsense - fun to work with. Award-winning actress and singer with twenty years' experience professional v.o. artist - including books on tape, commercials (Bayer, Fisher Price, JC Penney, Polaroid), and documentary narrations for Lifetime television and others. I usually record my own audio tracks using a high quality USB mic and filter in my home studio. I mix down using Garage Band or ProTools, which allows me to consider a different range of projects, INCLUDING MUSIC AND ANIMATION VOICES. When needed (and your budget permits), I have access to a full professional recording studio and audio engineer on short notice. Experienced advertising/marketing copywriter and v.o. producer as well - so I can write or polish your copy as well as perform it. My personal pet peeve when I'm producing for v.o. is when you know the talent is listening to his/her own beautiful voice, and not paying attention to what is being said. The message is king with me, and character a close second because those are the two things that really grab the listener. My skills as an actress allow me to convincingly ad lib candid "real people" v.o.'s as well as deliver polished narrations and scripts of all kinds.
