I have held receptionist/customer service jobs which requires me to use my voice. Whither it's on the phone or on the Public Announcement System, I have learned how much my voice can affect peoples emotions. I have had angry customers who, after listening to me, became quit calm; especially when working in retail. I would have co-workers hand me the phone and say,"Here, you take it. You sound better." My only training involves Public Announcements in retail and phone greetings. I've had some musical training in high school.
