I have appeared in nearly two dozen regional theatrical productions, many in a starring role, both as an actor and a singer. I have won awards and acclaim for performances covering many genres, ages, and characters. Through these, I have learned how to use my voice to best suit the script, and the demands of various characters and their circumstances.
Theater training in college.
Dedicated recording space employing a Zoom MRS-802 multi-track digital recorder and Rode NT1-A condenser microphone. Space immediately surrounding the mic is deadened with 6 panels of acoustic, sound-absorbing tiles. With this system, I can record and edit the VO track(s) with a wide range of EQ settings, chorus, and reverb, or with nothing at all. I then burn those recordings to disc and transfer them to my computer where they may be accessed.
Additionally, I can overdub multiple voices, add sound effects, as well as record live musical accompaniment.
I have very strong English/grammar and communication skills and understand the need for, and purpose behind, enunciation/articulation. I am a very strong reader and enjoy many genres, particularly literary/historical fiction. I am quite proud of my communication and interpersonal skills, and am adaptable, cooperative, and punctual to a fault. Additionally, I am
a singer/songwriter/musician, would-be novelist, playwright, and screenwriter. It is my desire to bring all of these skills to voice-over work.
