About Bret
(he/him)As a voice actor, Bret Mykel is the adaptable, authentic, and animated voice that makes your script feel fresh and real. If you need a voice with the conversational, guy-next-door relatability of a young adult male mixed with the powerful, dramatic depth of a seasoned actor, Bret is your guy. He can bring life to long-form projects, like audiobooks and e-learning, while also maintaining a versatility that seamlessly shifts to the energetic, easy-going tone of a commercial read, or the dynamic range required for animation and video game characters. Bret is also committed to constant growth, currently training with Tara Strong in the voice acting group, The Voicelings.
Additional Vocal Abilities: Bret is also an accomplished singer, having focused on musical work both in and out of theatre for over a decade, as well as touring with a choir throughout Prague, Austria, Germany, and the U.S. On top of all that, back in 2007, he was the frontman of a signed punk rock band in NYC.

Awesome first time narrator, dark but satisfying

Format: Audiobook
I will admit, I added at least a full star on this review based on the narrator. After listening, I learned this was his debut and I'm honestly blown away. As an almost exclusively audiobook listener, narrators are so important to me and while everyone will have their own opinions, this one will be a favorite of mine and I hope he gets lots more work. His range of voices, emotion he put in, and general flow of reading were all top notch...
