Danu Uribe is a full-time, non-union voice-over and on-camera talent for commercials, video games, film, animation, motion capture, corporate training, and eLearning projects. She takes pride in having created more than a hundred unique characters for educational software curricula used by students all over the United States.
She has nineteen years of audio and video studio experience and has also performed around the world for several years in the live-action graphic novel The Intergalactic Nemesis (as seen on CONAN). Danu played dozens of characters in The Intergalactic Nemesis Trilogy including Molly Sloan, Aughy, Natasha Zorokov, and many other humans, robots and aliens.
Danu received a nomination for a daytime Emmy award for her acting and writing contributions to a promotional campaign for MTV Tr3s with the multimedia sketch comedy troupe, The Latino Comedy Project. She also completed studies in Writing and Improvisational Comedy at the historic Second City Training Center in Chicago.
Danu played opposite Martin Sheen, along with Michael York and Kristen Bell in the award-winning, animated film, Flatland: The Movie, based on the 1884 science fiction novella, Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions, written by Edwin A. Abbott.
She earned her B.A. in Drama from Texas Woman’s University, where she starred in The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, Spanish dramatist Federico García Lorca’s Blood Wedding (as the bride), and as Maria in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Danu’s musical theatre credits also include Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and Dorothy Parker in Red, Hot & Cole.
Recently, she’s joined forces with Rooster Teeth, voicing “Doulos” in the film, “Lazer Team 2” and “Toth” in the animated series, “Nomad of Nowhere.”
Currently, Danu can be heard all over the country voicing brands such as Staples, Burlington Coat Factory, World Market and many, many more. Keep your ears perked!
