About Amanda
I am an actor and voice artist looking to break into the business and I love the English language with all its rhythm and nuance. My accent is neutral British but I am also adept at RP and Cockney. I have excellent pronunciation of Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), German, French, Italian and Basque, though not a fluent speaker of the languages.
I won Best Supporting Actress at the Strabane Drama Festival (N.Ireland) for my role as Commentator Woman in Brian Friel's "Lovers: Winners and Losers" - the adjudicator commented on my clarity and intonation, and the fact he did not think the role had been played with an RP accent before.
I trained at Identity School of Acting, which included the following voice artist modules:
* Audio Books - with Joshua Higgott
* AUDIBLE - with Damian Lynch
* voice - with Giles Abbott
I am an ex-school teacher so have experience in bringing stories to life, public speaking, explainer-style talks, and group training.
I am also an ex-ChildLine counsellor and would be particularly interested in work related to charities or human rights organisations.
