My early voiceover experience came as a local sports reporter and anchor for CBS in Iowa. After leaving the bright lights of Davenport, I narrated Entertainment Cruises boat tours in Chicago while taking writing classes at Second City. When I came to New York, I started working with voiceover coach Ed Lewis in his class at The People's Improv and also worked with him one-on-one at Hyperbolic Audio.
I graduated from Northwestern University with a broadcasting degree from the Medill School of Journalism. I went on to work as a local sports anchor in Davenport, Iowa. When the celebrity culture of eastern Iowa simply became too much for me, I transitioned to comedy in Chicago (Second City) and then New York (The Daily Show). When I'm not doing voiceover, I work as a comedy writer/producer for television shows and comics, including Joan Rivers. While transitioning from broadcasting to voiceover, I worked one-on-one with Ed Lewis at Hyperbolic Audio in Manhattan.
I have a Yeti microphone for recording and I use TwistedWave for editing.
