- Experience, training, and equipmentI am a veteran news anchor and reporter, but my favorite part of the job was co-anchoring the two hour morning show preceeding the Today Show on NBC. The ability to be personable, upbeat and adlib are my strengths while I deliver information the viewer or listener needs to hear. I'm also a mom of three, so I realize that life is too important to be taken seriously. I have a fun, animated personality that takes direction well. Time Warner Cable (national 2008); Best Buy (national 2008); Oprah Winfrey Show (national 2009); I'm a Texan with plenty of southern hospitality in my blood. My bachelor's degree in journalism and English come from Texas Tech University where I worked my way through school as a reporter and anchor for radio and television news stations. I served as a spokesperson for a US Congressman, served several business clients with my own PR business, and have hosted numerous live events. I've hosted television programs, family segments, and worked for several Talent agencies in Houston and Dallas. I've performed in plays, musicals and various odd performing jobs. I'm athletic, musically inclined and very adventurous.
