- Experience, training, and equipmentI hated the sound of my own voice until 1995, while working as a data entry clerk at a multimedia firm, I was called upon to pitch hit for a wayward VO actor. When the smoke cleared I had become the voice of Doris Lessing, Lorraine Hansberry, Willa Cather and several authors for an audio textbook project. "Writing Our Lives" published by Scott Foresman has been used in middle and high schools across the country. Well, after that I was hooked. My voice didn't sound so bad to me after all. While I'm a writer and stand-up comedian by trade, I still look forward to those occasions to record commercials and narrations. I've done national campaigns for Sumitomo Bank, Kids in the Spotlight, and GospelRhythms.com. I absolutely love the work and look forward to helping to make your project sound its best!
