Speaker for the symphonic composition New Morning for the World: Daybreak of Freedom by Joseph Schwantner, performed with the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra, 1988 and 1998, and with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra in February 1999. 4. Commercial voice talent for many area businesses and educational institutions, 1963 to present. M.A. in German language, minor in Spanish and English. Worked at a classical music radio station. Also worked as an announcer at the local ABC television station. I've done voice work for many businesses and educational institutions since the 1960s. In college, I appeared in Robert Bolt's "A Man for All Seasons." I have worked as speaker for a number of symphony orchestras performing as speaker in compositions such as Copland's Lincoln Portrait, Joseph Schwantner's New Morning for the World, and Adolphus Hailstork's "Done Made My Vow." I am retired after some 38 years of teaching German, Spanish, and English.
