Michael Butchin

I have voiced characters for Bethesda Games, specifically, game mods for The Elder Scrolls series: I have voiced Dunmer, Argonians, and Khajit. I played two roles for the mod "Heart of the Dead," and several other fan-made game mods. I have worked for BionicDance Animation on number of CGI cartoons, mostly character work involving accents. I come from a theater family, though I have had no formal training. We have been involved in Opera, theater, and musical theater, and musical performance. Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my father and several uncles practicing theater craft and watching from backstage how productions are done, playing improv games, and watching the work of stage managers and the actors and actresses themselves. I have also worked as a teacher and storyteller in front of groups of people, college classrooms and kindergarten classrooms. At home, I use a Rode Podcasting microphone with shock mount and pop-shield, and an Alessis mic. I use Audacity and Gold Wave on my computer, and I have a makeshift sound booth using sound dampening materials.
