When I was just 3 years old, I had my first radio experience! I did a commercial for my family's company and have been doing VoiceOvers since then. I record the on-hold messages for the businesses and any other VoiceOvers we need to encourage customers! I have also recorded numerous children's books for The Study Hall school, which is an after school program to underpriviledged children. I was not the only person to record books for them, but apparently the kids all liked listening to my voice the best, which made me feel great about doing it! I have had no problem doing all my VoiceOvers for free so far but I want to turn my voice into a career! It makes me happy and my voice tends to make others happy too!
I am currently in my second year as a Theatre Major but I have been taking acting and VoiceOver lessons since 9th grade in high school. I have spent much of my free time taking workshops such as a VoiceOver workshop with September Day and Bob Carter, a Nickelodeon Workshop with The Chez Group, Young Actors Workshop with L. Warren Young & Rick Reitz, Auditioning Techniques with Richard Futch and Teen Master Class: Audition Monologues with David Kronawitter. I have also worked privately with many coaches including Shannon Eubanks, Michael Cole, Mark Pitt and more.
I work with GM Studios in Georgia but I recently bought all of my own equipment so I am able to record and send in VoiceOvers wherever I go!
My most important skill for VoiceOvers is improvisation! I have loved improv ever since I first played improv games in my 7th grade drama class. I performed in an annual improv show that the instructor chose my suggestion for the name; The Carving of the Cheese. Also, only the year after I started improv, I won an award for it! Additionally, I have had tons of acting experience. From Ophelia to Orphan Annie, I have played many roles and hopefully I can add to that list with VoiceOvers for you!
