- Experience, training, and equipmentHaving spent 15 years in the cruise ship industry, I regularly gave presentations to audiences of up to 500 people which were televised and aired on the in-cabin TV. Additionally, I spent 2 years as an Art Auctioneer on board cruise ships, where I conducted up to 5 auctions a week. Auctions on cruise ships, as well as been a huge revenue producer are seen as an "event" and therefore, one must be able to captivate the audience with your voice and stories, otherwise people won't buy or stay to watch! I regularly did the ship announcements on board which were broadcast to the entire ship over the ship's tannoy system. I feel extremely comfortable with public speaking and giving presentations.
