Just imagine working in a little trailer shared with twenty-two students, about the size of my rec room at home. Great fifth graders, no running water, and the restrooms housed about a football field away in the main building, due to reconstruction. As I'm escorting the long line of children into the building for the fourth time of the day, I wondered how long I would continue to be an educator. So many responsibilities, and never enough time. I spotted an advertisement for a voice over awareness class in the teacher's lounge after school that very same day. Do you believe in fate? I went, I auditioned, I was contacted, and I was hooked! I hope you take the time to listen to my demos, as I now work in a studio space even smaller than the one I shared with my fifth graders! Ironic, isn't it?

My many years spent teaching in the classroom taught me some simple truths from my students: It is better to treat others kindly, so they in turn will treat you the same way. Give yourself time to learn new things. Each day is special, make it count. Live in the moment; if you take care of the little things, the future will take care of itself. People are our greatest resource. Believe in yourself first, so others will, too! Your word is your bond. Tell the truth.
