Due to my distinctive voice, I easily entered into the broadcasting industry in 1988 as an on-air personality where I created and produced several commercials, jingles, and public service announcements at WESM 91.3 in Princess Anne, Maryland. Subsequently, I worked as a broadcaster in Portland, Michigan, and also in Texas. In 1993, I joined the military as a broadcaster and narrated thousands of commercials, jingles, newscasts, promos, etc. In 1997, I got out of the broadcasting industry but continued working as a voice-over talent. In San Antonio, I narrated a cable show that showcased apartments in the area, I continued working as an anchor for Air Force Radio and Television News, and voiced many television commercials. In 1998, I moved back to Portland and joined a talent agency where I performed many voice-overs and acted in television commercials and industrials. In 2000, I started working as a Smooth Jazz On-Air Personality and I created and produced many commercials. The station also used my voice for it's television commercials and station jingles. In 2003, I went back to law school, but I still do voice-over work on my off-time.
I received formal training in my first two years of college at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. I also attended Military Broadcasting School where I received formal voice training. In addition, I have over 10 years of creating, producing, and voicing television and radio commercials, promos, and news stories. l
I use audacity recording system, m-audio recording interface, and a condenser microphone to record music on my laptop computer.
In addition to being a voice-over artist, I have a Master's Degree in Business and a J.D. Degree, and I teach at Portland Community College. I have created, produced, and voiced various television and radio commercials in addition to working as an on-air personality.
