"A voice that mesmerizes..." -NY Daily News. Joshua Kane is a classically trained actor and an internationally recognized storyteller. His one-man shows blend the power and dramatic sweep of solo theater with the ancient art of storytelling, creating unique and compelling entertainments. “Savvy, witty, and spell-binding...[Joshua Kane] brings life, intelligence, sensitivity and humor to everything he touches.”—Peter Straub, best-selling author of Ghost Story
In addition to his stage work, Kane teaches voice workshops to a variety of constituencies--from young actors, to teachers, to politicians, to parents--all over the United States. Hugo and Nebula Award Winning Author Bruce Holland Rogers said of Kane: “Next to winning a Bram Stoker Award, my favorite moments at the awards weekend in Hollywood came during the voice workshop presented by Joshua Kane. In fact, Kane’s workshop was so good that all by itself, awards banquet or not, it would have been well worth the expense of the trip to L.A. I have always considered myself to be a good reader, but in one afternoon, Kane took me up a notch....I sounded better than I ever have before...an amazingly good teacher...I know I’ll be a better reader and speaker for the rest of my career.”
Kane studies singing with Phil Hall, the noted Broadway coach and conductor.
A graduate of the University of Bridgeport with a degree in English and History, Kane is a voracious reader.
