After graduation from college I spent ten years in broadcasting doing on air and production work as well as programming management duties. I found the production work to be the most enjoyable and rewarding. I left the broadcasting business to run my own small business which still allows me ample opportunity to speak on a microphone as I teach and instruct exercise students. My radio experience was mostly in North Georgia and Atlanta (WSB-FM) as well as a short stint in Sacramento, CA.
My degree from the University of Georgia is an ABJ with a concentration in radio/tv/film. My minor was in Speech. Most of my commercial produciton work was done as part of my various radio station jobs. During that time I found a little extra time to do some outside voice work, but my regular duties consumed much of my time.
In addition to running a fitness center for the past fifteen years I am an avid hiker and cyclist and have a fair amount of knowledge and understanding of things related to the outdoors and physical fitness. I think that my participation in those activities would make me a natural for voice work in related areas. I am also a history buff and would enjoy doing voice over work for documentaries as well.
