Over the course of the four years I have worked in commercial radio (92.3 WTTS, broadcasting to the Indianapolis metro) I have voiced and produced commercials (this includes anything from straight reads to acting spots); written, voiced and produced :60 music-related news stories for an online podcast ; produced promos and commercials; currently maintaining two weekly shifts as an on air personality for a Triple A radio station (WTTS).
All the experience and training I have obtained through my career in radio. Everything I have learned has been part of a project (i.e., commercial, voicetrack, etc) that is used on air. Over the past year or two, I have been a main contributor to the WTTS World Class Rock Reports . Every week, I produce two :60 stories from scratch, thus providing me music journalism experience and building upon my training as a producer and voice over talent.
Thus far, I have a Zoom H2 which is a marvelous piece of equipment. I've found it provides a clearer, crisper sound than some of the microphones used at many radio stations. I use Adobe Audition to edit my audio. It is a program in which I am extremely proficient yet ALL of its abilities I am still discovering as it is a very intricate audio tool.
Because of my music journalism experience, I am comfortable with writing scripts for just about anything: commercials, news casts, short stories, etc.
Audio production in general is a passion of mine and I strive for creativity in my work, however I do take direction very well. I am constantly discovering new ways to use my vocal instrument and finding projects that suit my growing interest in the field of audio production.
