As a baby, I talked the talk before I walked the walk. Thus, I use my voice in many ways: voice over, singing, acting, talking on the telephone, skyping, therapying, talking to cashiers at Trader Joe's (well, one in particular;)and making up words that don't exist. lol
I have years upon years of acting and singing experience, so thought I would try my hand at the voice over world. People like my speaking voice, so I thought, why not. So, here I am ready to share my voice with you. :)
I received extensive voice over training with the talented and amazing Nancy Wolfson. That should make you want to hire me right then and there. :)
I have a BA in Psychology from Syracuse University and a Graduate Certificate in Music Therapy from Arizona State University. Don't know what music therapy is? Please feel free to ask. I can talk about it for days.
I have over 20 years of performance experience in choirs (chamber, madrigal, a capella, chapel), rock bands (lead and back-up singer), musical theater, recording studios, cabarets, etc. Throughout the years I have played several roles in which I have had to manipulate my voice (i.e. Medusa, Mary Reed (Scottish accent), The Witch (in Rapunzel), etc.).
I have near perfect pitch and a three and a half octave range. I can sight read music and have an excellent ear.
In addition, I have excellent reading skills.
I am currently using Garage Band and am in the process of learning Twisted Wave. I have an external microphone and a Mac Mini computer.
