I record in my own home, in my office. I also have access to record in my basement or attic, for different acoustic options. I use SoundForge for recording, editing, and cleaning. I also use Tracktion for mixing additional sound effect or music tracks.
For microphones, I record Vocals with either a AT3035 Audio-Technica Cardioid microphone, or a Shure Super 55. And for foley effects, I use a Rode shotgun mic.
