I first started in broadcasting by landing a job at a local classic rock radio station. I would fill in for the news director reading stories live on air and recording them for later broadcast. I was then given on air shifts and learned a lot about how properly use my voice.
In college, I worked for the local city government cable channel. I would produce PSAs for city departments and do the voice over myself. I also hosted a couple of shows where I learned more about voice projection and script reading.
After college, I began producing thirty second commercials. I would do many of the voice overs myself. My co-workers would often ask me to provide voice over for their projects as well.
Currently, I work in promotions at a TV station in the Nashville market. I voice over promos, commercials, billboards and IDs. I also do freelance voice over work from my home studio.
I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Mass Communications, emphasis on TV Production.
Since I also do freelance video editing, I record voice over using Final Cut Pro. I have a Sennheiser mic lined into a mixer which is connected via firewire to my G5. I have EQ filters that I use to create a professional, broadcast quality product.
I've worked professionally in video production for over ten years. My voice is heard in the Nashville market daily.
I understand the importance of a quality product, a fast turn around, and affordable rates.
I look forward to hearing from you!
