My road to voice-over began on the radio in Warrensburg, MO, starting out at the same station that launched Mancow. I then moved into stand-up comedy and performed comedy bits and characters for various radio stations in Kansas City, MO.
Currently, I am the voice and face of Sprint training, narrating and hosting internal training videos for all employees. I have done industrial voice over work for Embarq, Applebees, Helzberg, OSI, Plattform, and others. I also have done commercial work for Brown Mackie College.
I have attended a number of voice over and on-camera training seminars. These include: Susan Berkley's Voice Over Boot Camp; Susan Berkley's Voicer Over Tele-Seminar; Markie Costello's Television Hosting Workshop; Television Host Boot Camp.
I also develop numerous characters on the stand-up stage; some of which have made people laugh. I learn from watching other comics, but NEVER steal material.
I have a simple set-up at home: a sound-proof box for my Samsun CO1U USB condenser mic which plugs into my laptop. I record and edit in Audacity.
I am a comedy writer and professional speaker and have even written and delivered a number of sermons. I do try to keep the sermons less blue than the comedy. I have written political speeches and training programs for numerous industries from telecom to restaurant. I am able to accurately pronounce medical and business terminology.
