My Voice Experience
Recent jobs include Commercials, Various Web Videos, App Trailers, PSAs, Promos, Explainer Videos, Whiteboard Presentations, Training Videos, Internal Business Videos, Corporate Narration, Documentary Narration, Voicemail Systems, DJ drops, Music (Vocals and Spoken Word), Trade Shows, Podcast Imaging, RPG Games, HOPA Games, Mobile Games, PC/Computer Games, Console Games, Cartoons/Animation, eLearning, and Character-based Learning Programs... Every new project is exciting for me, and an opportunity to bring my best!
My first voiceover job, as well as my first job ever, was playing a gossiping Muppet named "Toya", on a Saturday morning series called "Citykids" (Jim Henson Productions). Being a non-muppeteer voice for a muppet was a rare opportunity. It was an amazing introduction into the world of voice over, and a great source of education.
I am an experienced session vocalist, and working specifically as a voice-over talent has been the perfect marriage to studio work I've already been doing as a session vocalist. My vocals have been featured on projects with recording artists (Mark Ronson/Non Phixion), as well as many youth focused projects (Nickelodeon/PBS/Sesame Studios)
I have years of various theater & acting training, including work with The CityKids Foundation, which provided me with a wide range of professional performance and production experience from a young age.
As a NYC based teaching artist, I've taught acting/improv, vocal performance, and dramatic writing workshops to students ranging from pre-school to novice adult, as well as leadership based trainings. These experiences have been invaluable to me as a voice-over artist, and helped me learn how to connect with a wide range of audiences. I've worked with educators doing in-character historical narrations, sexual health based interactive programs for teens, a reading program as a cute kangaroo, and a math series playing a tutor role as well as child roles from 1st to 6th grade.
Working as a session vocalist for a broad range of musical genres, I've developed a great ear for vocal matching, and harmonizing, which helps greatly with voice over projects. I am also a karaoke master, so there is no genre of music too obscure for me to tackle. Music is one of my favorite forms of expression!
Other voice-over related training includes:
Puppeteering Workshop with John Tartaglia (Sesame Street/Avenue Q/ImaginOcean)
Voice technique with Lainie Cooke
Vocal technique with Prof. Yvonne Hatchett
Voiceover coaching with Anna Garduno (VoiceForward)
