About Cara
My voice has been described as naturally warm, smooth and smart; I am a trusted spokesperson without being over the top "announcery", I can relate to you as my friend, husband and child or just as easily, my patient, client and colleague. My work is most often described as "believably real".
I have also enjoyed playing the fast talking yet a little neurotic neighbor, the "vacant" blond, the sultry vixen and the Eastern European gypsy.
I recently completed recording and editing an audiobook; a romance novel, 7 finished hours.
In addition to my voice training at VoicetraxSF with Samantha Paris, Thom Pinto, Sirenetta Leoni, Nate Tico, Mary Lynn Wissner and many others, I have a degree in Biochemistry and 20 years of experience in Drug Discovery research and business development. As a result, I am extremely comfortable with health and medical related copy.
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and I am happy to work from my home studio or your preferred location.

- Experience, training, and equipmentSince 2009, I have studied under Samantha Paris, Thom Pinto, Sirenetta Leoni, Nate Tico, Mary Lynn Wissner and other distinguished teachers at Voicetrax in Sausalito, CA. My focus has been in narration of both broadcast and nonbroadcast pieces and commercials for radio and television I have taken a few character classes to round out my education. I continue to study privately with a variety of professional coaches. PC based, Audiotechnica mic with Mbox. Cara has over 20 years experience in Drug Discovery and Disease Research so she is extremely well suited for medical and health related copy.
